Issued to French paratroopers during the Algerian War, this original TAP 47 camouflage trouser dates back to 1956 and represents one of the earliest camouflage systems ever adopted by a modern army.
Constructed from lightweight cotton with the iconic vertical “Lizard” pattern, the cut reflects early combat requirements: high rise, drawstring waist, side cargo pocket and adjustable leg openings. Designed for parachute operations and tropical terrain.
Visible repairs, abrasion and fading are consistent with field use and remain untouched. No restoration. No modification. Exactly as found.
A rare survivor from a short production period — impossible to reproduce authentically today.

Our collection consists of carefully selected vintage clothing—each piece tells a story and is unique. For this reason, we do not accept returns. This approach supports our mission to reduce waste and promote sustainable consumption.
If an item no longer meets your needs, we ask you to pass it on or resell it to extend its lifespan.
Caring for your vintage items:
- Most of our cotton and cotton-blend products can be conveniently machine washed at 40 degrees Celsius. Hand washing is the better option for wool products – machine wash at your own risk!
- Don't forget: Our items have a lifetime behind them and are sometimes more delicate depending on their age and condition. Always keep this in mind before washing them.
- Vintage leather products should be hung in dry places and receive regular care to avoid cracking.
- Important: We assume no responsibility for damage caused by wearing or washing the products.
We rate our products according to the following scale:
- Mint - Flawless, no or barely visible signs of wear
- Great - Clean but worn, with no holes or stains
- Good - Shows signs of wear, small holes or light stains, but overall good condition and nice patina
- Fair - Significant signs of wear, possibly in need of repair (Final Sale)
